492nd BG
Hudson H.Upham
Status:
As C.O. of the 492nd BG Upham had no
regular crew. He came to Harrington on the 18th of December 1944 and departed
sometime in early April of 1945. By all who remembered him he was despised. When
an article appeared in the Association about him Boone, St.Clair and others
threatened to withdraw their support. He was blamed for the death of a crew
(Welch) and documentary exists to corroborate their opinions.
He appears in the Late Period Log three times, none
were combat missions.
