An old hand from ASW days, Wilmer Stapel and Dave Schreiner flew the first Carpetbagger missions into Norway in the spring of 1944 going to the Chaffinch 4 and Puffin 2 DZs respectively. Stapel also piloted five C47 missions from Harrington and one C47 mission during the Annecy period.
