The aircraft in the photo is B-24E-10 FO 42-7089, which came off the Ford 
production line at Willow Run around March or April 1943. I do not believe 
that any B-24E models found their way to the 8th AF so I can say with 
confidence that the photo was taken Stateside. My guess is a date in November 
43, probably before the crew collected a "fly-away" B-24 H or J to fly to 
England and which they would have "lost" before going to 2nd CCRC.
