

The Megert 
crew reported in to Harrington on the 18th of December 1944, along with a number 
of other replacement crews from the 70th Replacement Depot. Though originally 
assigned to the 857th BS, they were reassigned to the 856th BS prior to the move 
of the 857th to Bassingbourne. The picture above with names was received from 
John K. Butts. ASNs from SO 
#351 70th ReplDep Sta 594 16Dec44. The crew is mentioned 22 times in the
Late Period Log, though not all of these were combat 
missions.
