The Dupree crew arrived at Harrington on the 20th of September 1944 and were assigned to the 857th BS in Special Orders #154. Sent in as replacements for the original 850th/857th BS crews, they were too late to fly any Carpetbagger missions. They appear in the Late Period Log 12 times, the last entry on the night of 28 February/01 March 1944. On 9 March 1945, they were transferred to the 858th BS whence we lose sight of them, being able to say only that they were apparently not at Harrington on 8-9 July 1945, when most of the flyers returned to the ZI.
