406th Night Leaflet Squadron - Cherrington Crew

On a training mission over the UK the plane hit the chimney of the Burghill Mental Hospital near Hereford, UK. Cherrington and Waite survived but died later in hospital. The incident occurred on the night of 18 August 1944.
